How do you register a nickname?

To register a nickname,type: /msg NickServ register <Password>. Exchange the <Password> with your own password.

  • (Example: /msg NickServ register daredevil. The daredevil will be the password.)

How do you identify a nickname?

To identify your nickname,type: /msg NickServ identify <Password> and exchange the <Password> with the password you registered with. (Note: You must identify every time you connect to the server).


How do you change a nickname?

To change your nickname,type: /nick <nick> and exchange the <nick> with the nickname you want.


How do you send a private message to another person?

To send a private message to another person,type: /msg <nick> <message> and exchange the <nick> with the nickname you want to send message to,then exchange the <message> with whatever message you want to send to that person. (Example: /msg Rose Hello and the message Hello will be sent to the person named Rose)


How do you kick a person out from a channel with a reason?

(Chat Moderator only)

To kick a person out of the room with a reason, type: /kick <channel> <nick> <reason>. (Example: /kick #lobby Rose Swearing. That will kick the person Rose from the channel called #lobby because of swearing)


How do you kick a person out from a channel without a reason?

(Chat Moderator only)

To kick a person out of the room with a reason, type: /kick <channel> <nick>. (Example: /kick #lobby Rose. That will kick the person Rose from the channel called #lobby)


How do you register a channel?

  • To join a channel,type: /join <channel>. Exchange <channel> with the channel you want to join. (Example: /join #Test and that will let you join the channel #Test).
  • Then type: /msg chanserv register <channel> <description>, then exchange the <channel> with the channel you just joined,then exchange the <description> with a description of your choice. (Example: /msg chanserv register #Test Coding).

How do you send a memo to a person?

To send a memo to a person,type: /msg MemoServ send <nick> <message> (Example: /msg MemoServ send Rose Hello. That will send a memo to a user called Rose with the message Hello. The person who gets it will then be able to read it anytime)


How do you read a memo?

To read a memo,type: /msg MemoServ read <number>. Exchange the <number> with a number. if you have for example 4 memo messages,like numbered 1,2,3 and 4,and if you want to read for example memo message number 3,you then just type /msg MemoServ read 3.


How do you delete a memo?

To delete a memo message that has been sent to you,type: /msg MemoServ del <number> (so if you have 4 memo messages and you want to delete one of them,like for example memo message 3,you then type /msg MemoServ del 3)


How do you delete all your memo messages?

(Make sure you read them first)

To delete all your memo messages sent to you,type: /msg MemoServ del all


How do you change your password for your nickname?

(Must be registered to use the command)

To change your password on your nick,type: /msg NickServ password <new-password> and exhange the <new-password> with the new password you want to make.


How do you add a user on the aop list?

(aop = Automatic op. Note: You need to have nickname and your own channel registered to use this command)

To add someone on aop list,type /msg ChanServ aop <channel> add <nick> aop. Exchange the <channel> with the channel you own and exchange the <nick> with a nickname you want to put on the aop list.


How do you delete a user on the aop list?

(aop = Automatic op. You need to have nickname and your own channel registered to use this command)

To add someone on aop list,type /msg ChanServ aop <channel> del <nick>. Exchange the <channel> with the channel you own and exchange the <nick> with a nickname you want to delete from the aop list.


How do you add a user on the vop list?

(vop = Automatic voice. Note: You need to have nickname and your own channel registered to use this command)

To add someone on aop list,type /msg ChanServ vop <channel> add <nick> vop. Exchange the <channel> with the channel you own and exchange the <nick> with a nickname you want to put on the vop list.


How do you delete a user on the vop list?

(vop = Automatic voice. Note: You need to have nickname and your own channel registered to use this command)

To add someone on aop list,type /msg ChanServ vop <channel> del <nick>. Exchange the <channel> with the channel you own and exchange the <nick> with a nickname you want to delete from the vop list.


How do you take back your stolen nickname?

  • First type: /msg NickServ recover <nickname> <password> and exchange the <password> with the password you registered your nickname with.
  • Then type: /nick <new_nick> and exchange the <new_nick> with the nickname you want.
  • Finally you type: /msg NickServ identify <mySecurePassword> and exchange the <mySecurePassword> with the password you registered with. (Note: You must identify every time you connect to the server).
